Eat alkaline

If you are sick or tired - that means you are acidic and toxic. You have to restore alkaline balance in your body. That's why you have to eat as much alkaline food as possible.

Recommended ratio is 1 part of slightly acidic food (beans, nuts, buckwheat) to every 3 parts of alkaline food - raw vegetables. It takes 3 times more alkaline material to neutralize acid.

·           Sugar - high fructose corn syrup, refined sugar, sweets, chocolate

·           Mushrooms, corn, peanuts - contain mold, fungus and toxins - they are carcinogenic

·           Fermented products - soy sauce, mayo, pickles, mustard, ketchup - fermented by fungus

·           Vinegar, dressing - hyper-acidic, very low pH

·           Also: canned foods, frozen and pickled vegetables, microwaved meals, GMO foods (wheat, corn, soy)

 

Fruits are acidic - except fruits from alkaline section - lemon, lime, tomato, avocado, grapefruit. Fructose (sugar from fruit) will ferment to alcohol (causes cells damage). 1 glass of fresh orange juice will shut down white cell activity (immune system) for 3-5 hours.

Acceptable are low-sugar berries and fruits with moderation (once a week), apart from other food and on empty stomach. These fruits contain high-level of antioxidants, and benefits balance out the sugar content - blueberry, blackcurrant, cranberry, pomegranate, noni, acai.

Use vegetables as your main source of vitamins.

 

Good oils. Take a plenty of good oils - cold pressed - olive oil, fish oil, hemp seed oil, flax seed oil, borage oil. They are essential for your health - building new cells, raising the energy, neutralizing acids, lubricating joints, helps with elimination.

Put cold-pressed virgin olive oil to every salad you eat. Have a couple of tablespoons of Omega 3-6-9 oil blend (one of them from fish) every morning. The oils have a long list of health benefits - they reverse cancer cells, lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol and risk of heart attack, cause weight loss by increasing the metabolism, relieve PMS cramps, prevent arthritis, improve hair, nails and skin.

Specially fish oil is repairing the brain function - repair brain cells, fight depression, improves memory, brain performance. You can drink 100 ml of these oils per day.

Bad oils. Avoid oils processed with heat - they are acidic and toxic. If you want to stir-fry food (very occasionally and on low heat) use grape seed oil and coconut oil they are able to withstand the heat without breaking down.

Sprouts - have extreme level of energy and vitamins! The best are alfalfa, lentils, mung beans, black-eyed peas. If you want to grow your own sprouts then first try lentils and mung beans, they are the easiest to grow. Put it to a jar and soak in filtered water for 12 hours (overnight). Cover the jar with cheesecloth and drain the seeds. Rinse sprouts every day, draining excess water. After sprouts shows up put the jar on the sunlight if you want to speed up the process and get some green grass. Mix them with your salad.

Salt. You can eat salt as much as you want (avoiding salt is a misconception). Use natural sea salt, Himalayan salt or Celtic salt. Avoid processed table salt, it contains anti-clumping chemicals and it’s processed by high heat that destroys crystal, energetic and chemical structure of salt. Our whole biosystem is salty - blood, tears, all internal liquids. If you avoid salt you can develop serious disease.

Vinegar and dressings - are acidic and most of them contain chemicals. Make your own dressing:  cold pressed olive oil, lemon, fresh basil, pepper. Vinegar has pH 2.9 that is 13,000 times more acidic than neutral water!

Sugar - is the second strongest acid after vinegar. Avoid sugar completely, specially refined sugar and corn syrup. Your body doesn't need sugar to generate energy. Human body is an electric system, it needs electrons and energy from alkaline fresh plant food. Excess of sugar is fermented into acetaldehyde (neurotoxin), lactic acid (causes cell breakdown) and alcohol (cell and nerves damage).

Wheat - has very high starch (sugar) and gluten content. Wheat grain was manipulated for centuries and nowadays also genetically modified. As a result of all that, it’s difficult to digest and it creates all sorts of digestive and other health problems. Use buckwheat and quinoa instead. Occasionally you can use spelt tortillas.

Rice, potatoes - contain starch that is another form of sugar.

Yeast - avoid yeasty breads and buns, especially if you have problem with Candida, yeast infections. Make your own yeast-free flat breads from quinoa, brown rice or spelt flour.

 

Tip: Soak raw almonds overnight. They are easier to digest after that.

If you are sick: Don't eat acidic food at all, especially animal proteins including milk products! Skip also food difficult to digest - nuts, beans, lentils, tofu.

Digestive system

Chew properly! You should chew until the meal in your mouth turns to a paste without chunks. Your digestive system starts in your mouth. Your stomach has problem to process chunks of food. Chewing improves the nutrients absorption and body uses less energy to process food. If you eat more slowly the hunger feeling would have time to switch off before you overeat.

Hunger is very often just a covered-up thirst. If it's not the mealtime and you are hungry, drink 2 cups of water and wait 20 min. If you are still hungry then you are really hungry.

Watch your stool. You have to have stool elimination every day because it's critical for detoxification of your system!

Ideal stool - medium brown, easy to push out, toothpaste consistency, 4 to 8 inches long, sinking slowly, little gas or odor.

Wrong stool - dark brown, hard as a rock, chunks and pieces, pencil like, not every day - that means you are dehydrated and you don't have enough vegetables (fiber). Liquid stool and deadly smell means you are toxic and over acidic.

Don’t overeat! Your stomach needs 1/3 of its space to be empty, to have a space to mix and process the meal. If you overeat, your stomach will be stressed out from the tension and the lack of space. The meal processing will slow down rapidly getting too toxic poisoning your body.

Meal timing

You don’t work with full performance all day long and neither is your digestive system.

Morning. Eat lightly because your stomach just woke up along with you. Eat light non-starch grains  (buckwheat, quinoa) and vegetables.

Noon. Digestive system is firing on all cylinders from 10 am till 3 pm. You can eat more heavy meals - fish, beans and tofu. Lunch is your main meal of the day, not dinner! The “heavy dinner” habit is from the times when everybody worked as a farmer and didn't have time to eat at noon. You are not a farmer and you don't work all day long with your muscles burning calories.

Evening. Your digestive system is slowing down significantly around 7 - 8 pm. If you eat anything after that it will stay in your stomach till morning. It will ferment overnight poisoning your system and going straight to your fat reserve. Eat a little snack around 4 - 5 pm to avoid massive hunger in the evening. Dinner should be mostly vegetables, buckwheat, quinoa - anything light that can be digested in 2 hours, before you go to sleep.

Time gap between meals! Your stomach needs 2 - 3 hours to process the food without interruption. If you eat anything between meals it will disturb the process and your stomach will turn over acidic (and your body will create fat)!

You should go to sleep slightly hungry. Your body needs to run maintenance procedures and full diagnostics in the night without spending time and energy on digestion. If you go to bed with a meal in your stomach, you will have most likely wild and violent dreams with sleep interruptions and you would wake up in the morning tired and not regenerated.

Sleep timing. Go to bed before midnight, sleep 7 - 8 hours. Your body is running the toxin cleaning maintenance from midnight to 3 am. If you are awake after midnight you will disturb this process and you will wake up tired (still toxic).

Eat the right food combinations

Don’t eat protein with starch! In other words, if you eat fish or tofu, eat it with vegetables only. Don't eat it with rice, potatoes or spelt tortillas.

Your digestive system is using different enzymes and a different timing to break down starch and protein. If you eat starch with protein the digestive system cannot break down properly neither starch nor protein. The meal can't be absorbed but it's starting to ferment (decompose). It will stay in your stomach for a very long time in highly acidic state and it will poison your bio system.

Don’t eat fruit with anything else! Eat fruit on empty stomach.

Fruit doesn't tolerate any other food. It will be digested very quickly on an empty stomach (20 - 30 min). If it meets anything in the stomach it starts to ferment.

Animal proteins and thoughts about carnivores

Have you ever been wondering if you are a carnivore (meat eating animal) or an herbivore (plant eating animal)?

Here is little test: Release a medium sized ordinary pig somewhere in the field. If you can catch it, hold it with your sharp claws, kill it with your teeth or claws, rip the meat out with your sharp teeth enjoying the blood and swallow raw meat immediately without chewing - then you are a carnivore.

Other differences: carnivore's saliva is acidic to digest meat, our saliva is alkaline to digest vegetables, carnivore's intestines are short built for fast elimination of highly toxic food, we have long intestines designed to keep vegetables longer to extract all nutrients, our hands are designed to pick up fruits and vegetables and not tear the guts out of the carcass.

Carnivores can’t chew, because they can’t move the jaw from side to side, they have most of the teeth sharp to hold the prey and rip the meat. Herbivores have sideways movable jaw for chewing and grinding plants and most of their teeth are flat for grinding. Now comes your homework. Watch a dog eating a piece of fish, watch yourself in a mirror eating salad and watch an ape eating leaves. What do you think, where do you belong?

Psychological momentum - if we are carnivores we would have an urge to hunt. If you see a baby rabbit, do you enjoy the beauty or you have a compulsion to take a bite? If you see an apple, do you see it the same way you see a stone, or you feel an urge to eat it?

Fish. Ideally, do not eat any animal protein. If you feel that you are missing some animal protein than the best meat you can have is fish and there is no second best. Even with fish you have to be very careful, it’s still very acidic and most fish are toxic. Eat it once in 3 - 4 weeks, non-farmed, wild caught, organic sea fish.

 

Red and white meat. Regular poultry, pork and beef is too toxic from hormones, steroids and antibiotics. Couple of randomly picked horror stories from animal life: half of the world production of antibiotics ends up in cows and pigs, beef in stores is dyed to make it more red, chicken breasts are chemically bleached to make it more white, chicken are fed with arsenic (cancer-causing poison) because it kills parasites and prevents bird flu, cows are fed with steroids in order to produce more milk so they are getting heart attacks. Milk you drink contains growth hormones, steroids, antibiotics and stress hormones.

Pork. Pig doesn't have a lymphatic system, all toxins are stored in the meat.

Chicken - doesn't have a urinary system, urine is stored in the meat (that's why it's so juicy). Industrial chickens in food stores are pre-cooked in their own mixture of intestines, internal organs, urine and feces to make it juicier.

Egg - US regulations allow having 38,000,000 pathogenic organisms (bacteria, mold, fungus) in one egg. It takes many days to get rid of all toxins from 1 egg.

Sausage. Salad contains 50 pathogenic organisms in average, sausage contains 500,000,000 of pathogens (bacteria, yeast, mold, fungus).

B12 deficiency. If you have B12 deficiency syndrome, you should consider taking B12 supplements or eat fish. B12 deficiency can cause anemia and problems with nervous system (www.vegansociety.com/b12).

 

Milk. Milk is food not drink! Milk is made for calves in order for them to gain 500 lbs. in 6 months! It’s not made for human consumption! There is no animal on this planet that drinks milk from a different mother! It creates mucus in your respiratory and digestive system. You can get asthma, all kinds of allergies and skin problems just from milk!

Even if you are lactose tolerant (nobody really is) your body has a problem to break down milk. Lactose transforms to lactic acid that causes inflammation of connective tissues (arthritis). Your body has to neutralize lactic acid so it would pull calcium from your bones. Milk is causing osteoporosis! Producers of pills for osteoporosis know that very well that's why they support dairy industry.

Protein myth. You don't have to eat protein in order to build your own protein. Your bio-system is able to produce all the proteins for you. You have to get only 8 essential amino acids from outside source:

Vegetables - broccoli, carrots, cabbage, cauliflower, cucumber, tomatoes, collards, kale, lettuce, spinach, mung sprouts, alfalfa, Brussels sprouts, eggplant, okra, summer squash

When you are sick - DON'T eat animal proteins at all! No meat, fish, eggs, milk, cheese, yogurt. Animal proteins are very acidic and very difficult to digest. They will drain the energy from your system needed for recovery.

Food preparation and logistics

Don’t eat from pots. You would lose control over the amount you have already eaten. Always use a plate, a bowl or a cup (any kind of measurement).

When you are hungry you would have a tendency to eat anything that is around you. In order to avoid eating unhealthy food you have to have healthy food ready at home and at work. At home - always have a bowl of cut vegetables and a jar with soaked almonds ready in the fridge. At work - have a bag with healthy snack ready - overnight soaked almonds, portable vegetables as carrots, zucchini, celery sticks, cucumber, cauliflower, kohlrabi, turnip.

 

 

 

 

Hydrate

Your body is 70% water. Water is necessary for normal function of cells and to wash out toxins. If you drink a lot of water you will lose weight, because you won't be as hungry and your body can release toxins from your fat cells and reduce their amount.

You should drink 3-5 liters of alkaline water or more per day (1 liter per every 15 kg / 30 pounds of your weight). Start with 2 liters, your body has to adjust. Drink about a cup every hour not to overload your body with too much water at once. At the beginning you will be urinating frequently because your body is trying to wash out toxins. Later on your body will adjust and you will be able to handle 3 - 5 liters per day without excessive washroom visits.

All water you drink should be alkaline (pH > 7.0). Start with 1 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate per liter of water. Gradually work your way up to 3 - 5 liters of water with 2 teaspoons of sodium bicarbonate per liter.

Don't be afraid of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), your salivary glands, stomach and pancreas are producing sodium bicarbonate every day to neutralize acids from food.

If you are very acidic (you don't eat vegetables, don't drink enough water) start with small amounts of water and baking soda! If you detoxify your body too quickly you can have temporary side effects (headaches, rash).

Your water has to be filtered! You have to use filtered water also for cooking and washing your vegetables! The pitcher with a filter you probably know is not sufficient! It's using very simple carbon filter filtering 20 % of toxins dissolved in your tap water.

Have a bottle filled with alkaline water handy - otherwise you will forget to drink. Use glass bottle or Nalgene  bottles, BPA free polycarbonate (No “7” & “BPA FREE” imprint on the bottom) - they are light, unbreakable and don’t leach chemicals to water.

Clay. Morning on empty stomach, drink water with special clay (bentonite, smecta). Clay has extreme absorption ability, it will absorb toxins from your intestines and it will carry them out.

The first urine should be optimally at 7.2 of greater. If it's lower than 7.2 you are deficient in alkaline buffers and need to move to a more alkaline diet rich in fresh green vegetables.
